These Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes are made with simple, better-for-you ingredients and packed with incredible flavor. The crockpot does all the work, giving you a high-protein, family-friendly dinner with minimal effort. Perfect for busy weeknights, meal prep, or feeding a crowd.
If needed, grease a large skillet. You may not need to if you're using a non-stick skillet.
Place ground beef in the pan and season it with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Break up with a spoon and cook until browned.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until fully mixed.
Transfer the cooked meat to the slow cooker along with the sauce mixture. Stir well and cover with lid.
Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.
Spoon meat onto hamburger buns, top with cheese and pickles, then serve!
Notes
Meat Options - I love this with ground beef but you can swap with ground turkey or chicken. Just aim for a similar fat percentage so the sauce stays rich and flavorful.Meal Prep & Storage - Leftovers keep well in the fridge for 4 days and freeze beautifully for up to 3 months. The flavors get even better the next day.Serving Suggestions - Great on toasted buns, baked potatoes, rice, or even as a topping for nachos.
