How to Make Baked Crack Chicken

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease a 9x13 baking dish. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika and add to skillet. Cook 3-4 minutes on each side. 

Step 2: In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and dill. Mix until thoroughly combined. 

Step 3: Placed chicken breasts in baking dish. Top each with 2 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and spread to coat.

Step 4: Add half of the bacon on top of the chicken and then sprinkle with shredded cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and lightly browned.

Step 5: Remove from oven and ensure internal temperature has reached 165 degrees F Top with remaining bacon and sliced green onions. Serve warm and enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts (sliced thin into 4 breasts)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Cream Cheese Mix

  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dill

Toppings

  • 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bunch green onion sliced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray and set it aside.
  • If bacon is not yet cooked, go ahead and do this first.
  • Grease a large skillet then season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add these to skillet. Cook 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Remove chicken breasts from skillet and place in the greased baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and dill. Mix until well combined.
  • Top each chicken breast with about 2 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and spread to coat.
  • Add half of the bacon on top of the chicken and then sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted. Remove from oven.
  • Garnish with remaining bacon and green onions and serve immediately. Enjoy!
