Select Ingredients

Cranberry Whipped Feta Dip ingredients: cranberries, milk, olive oil, orange, cream cheese, maple syrup, and feta.
  • Cranberries - I like to use fresh cranberries in this recipe, but you can use frozen as well.
  • Maple Syrup - Use pure maple syrup here, not an artificial pancake syrup. You can swap the maple syrup with honey if you prefer a sweeter flavor.
  • Milk - you can use any kind here or even half and half.

Recipe Tips & Variations

➡️ Use a Good Feta: - A feta block works better here than crumbles in my opinion as it seems to blend better. You want to make sure you pat dry if liquid is present.

➡️ If Making Ahead - This whipped feta layer will firm up quite a bit when placed in the refrigerator. If you're making this recipe ahead, don't assemble until ready to serve and pull the mixtures out about 45 minutes before serving to let soften. Then add the cranberry topping.

➡️ Make It Festive - Sprinkle with chopped pistachios, candied pecans, or fresh rosemary for a pop of color and holiday flavors!

How To Make This Cranberry Whipped Feta Dip

Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, honey, and orange juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and mixture thickens slightly (about 8-10 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 2: In a food processor, combine feta, cream cheese, olive oil, and honey. Process until smooth and creamy, gradually add milk slowly, until you reach a fluffy, spreadable texture.

Step 3: Transfer whipped feta to a serving bowl or plate. Spoon cranberry sauce generously on top and spread.

Step 4: Garnish with chopped pecans and optional fresh herbs and orange zest.

Recipe FAQs

Can I swap Greek yogurt for cream cheese?

Yes, you can swap Greek yogurt for the cream cheese in this Cranberry Whipped Feta Dip, but there are a few things to keep in mind: it will make the spread thinner and a little tangier. A thick plain Greek yogurt would work best if you're choosing this route.

What should I serve with Whipped Cranberry Feta Dip?

This dip is perfect with crackers, crostini, pita chips, or fresh veggies. It's also delicious as a spread on turkey sandwiches!

Can I make this dip ahead of time?

You can, but the whipped feta will firm up in the fridge. For best texture, store the whipped feta and cranberry topping separately, then let the feta sit at room temperature for 30-45 minutes before serving. A quick re-whip or drizzle of olive oil can help restore its creaminess. Then add the cranberry topping and nuts!

I seem to always have random bags of cranberries in my fridge this time of the year so I decided to try this recipe. It was so good! Love the saltiness of the cheese with the tangy cranberries -- YUM!
