Select Ingredients

- Chicken Breasts - I like boneless, skinless chicken breasts best in this recipe to keep it lean.
- Cheese - Freshly shredded mozzarella and parmesan tend to melt and taste the best. Use 4 oz mozzarella and 2 oz parmesan.
See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
For an alternate version of Chicken Parmesan, my Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan may just be one of my favorite meals. It's super easy to make and much healthier than the traditional version since it's made with a light breading and in the air fryer.
Recipe Tips & Variations
➡️ Short on time? - You can cook these in the slow cooker on high or even cook your chicken ahead of time. The meat may not be quite as tender but it will still taste great!
➡️ Shred or slice the chicken - I like to shred my chicken for this recipe, but you can slice it to keep it feeling like a more traditional chicken parmesan sandwich!
➡️ Switch up the bun - My favorite way to serve these sliders is on the Kings Hawaiian Rolls but you can switch it up and use regular hamburger buns or even a garlic roll.
How to Make Chicken Parmesan Sliders

Step 1: Place marinara, garlic, and Italian seasoning in the bottom of the slow cooker. Stir to mix.

Step 2: Add chicken breasts on top and spoon the marinara on top of the chicken.

Step 3: Cook on low for 6-7 hours. Shred chicken and stir.

Step 4: Turn on broiler Add chicken and cheese to the slider rolls. Place in oven and broil until cheese melts, about 1-2 minutes. Enjoy!

Recipe FAQs
Yes, but it's better to thaw first for even cooking. If you must use frozen, add extra cook time and make sure it reaches 165°F internally.
Try using less sauce and removing the lid for the last 30 minutes of cooking. Use a slotted spoon and drain excess liquid when spooning onto buns.
Try toasted the buns before serving or placing the shredded cheese on the bottom to help prevent a barrier. Lastly, use a slotted spoon to try draining off as much of the liquid as you can before spooning onto the buns.
